Solar Photovoltaic System Design

Course Description:

The course is designed to give the skills and knowledge required to design solar photovoltaic power systems. This program is useful for professionals from industrial, technology, photovoltaic industries, Power system industries and education. All the aspects of photovoltaic technology and system design are taught including technology overviews, components technology and performance, design methodologies, installation practices. This design based course also includes detailed PV array sizing, sub system sizing calculations, equipment specifications and metering choices for all types of PV systems.

An ability to successfully deal with the many aspects of photovoltaic system design.

Computation skills needed to arrive at the array and battery size.

Judgemental skills needed to see when and where photovoltaics can be a viable solution to power needs.

Integrating skills required to specify appropriate electrical and mechanical components from a variety of manufacturers.

Objective:

To provide knowledge and skill for engineering students to enter into Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) Industries

To provide understanding in SMT Components, Solder paste, Stencils, Solder Paste Printing, Automatic Component Pick & Place Machine and Inspection Systems

It also provides detailed understanding of Reflow process

Training equipment used are currently used in the EMS Industries

To provide under Graduate, Diploma students for improving their skills in developing hardware electronics projects

Innovative Features:

1.Automatic inline Pick and Place Machine:

Pick and place SMT components in the electronic assembly line with 42000 CPH. It can handle 0201 component packages. Make Yamaha; Model: S10

2.Inline Reflow Oven:

SMT reflow oven with 8 heating zone and one cooling zone. The maximum reflow temperature is 300 oC. Make Heller Model:1826MK5.

3.Automatic inline Solder Paste Printer:

Solder Paste Printer print the solder paste on the PCB with stencil. Make: Fuji Model: GPX-C III

4.Solder Paste Inspection System:

It is a 3D inspection system and capable of measuring the area and volume of the print. It helps to detect the paste printing defects. Make KOHYOUNG Model KY8080

5.Automatic Optical Inspection System:

It automatically inspect the final PCB assembly. It is a 3D optical vision system helps to detect the missing components and soldering defects. Make KOHYOUNG Model Zenith Alpha

Eligibility:

Graduated students from EEE,ECE,EIE & Mechanical

B.E/B.Tech/B.sc -3rd ,4th yr –EEE,ECE,EIE & Mechanical

M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc –EEE,ECE,EIE & Mechanical

Diploma in EEE/ECE/EIE & Mechanical

Course Fees: Rs: 8,000/- +GST

Batch size: 25 to 30 students per batch

Duration of the course: 6 days

Venue of the course: Central Electronics Centre -IITM

Pre-requisite knowledge: Any Interested Candidate
